4. Get ready for S’More! Join us on Sunday, October 3 at 5 p.m. for a huge bonfire and wiener roast in the field behind the church. Hot dogs, buns, and S’more fixings furnished. Bring your own roasting sticks, lawn chairs and a covered dish to share.
5. Fall Festival 2010! It’s time to start collecting candy for the annual Fall Fest. Drop your donations of individually wrapped candy in the blue barrel in the narthex. This year the Fall Festival is Sunday, October 31. Contact Michelle Lasley, 440-4378, with any questions. Watch for additional details as plans are made.
6. Hebrews Bible Study: Register Sunday for Precept classes on the book of Hebrews. Two classes will be offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:30 beginning September 14 & 16. Cost for the workbook is $30. See Pastor Sally to register or for more information.
7. Worship Support Team: We have an immediate need for a person who can assist on the Worship Support Team at the computer during the second service. This person needs only to have the ability to stay engaged in the service and minimal knowledge of computers. If interested in this role contact Mark Landis, 535-9007 ext. 11.
8. Second Sunday Talent Show, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. Second Sunday transforms into an all-church talent show! Bring your time, talent & treasure to our stage. Not only will this evening be loads of fun, we will learn about Active Water and their work with the people of Zambia. Sign-up SUNDAY to participate!
9. The next mission trip to New Orleans will be Saturday, Oct. 9 to Oct. 16. There is still a lot of work to be done in many areas of the city. 10. JuBellation Ringers: We need “beginning” ringers! New members are welcome! High schoolers through adults are invited. We rehearse Wednesday, 7:15-8:30 p.m. in room 7. This ensemble performs for Sunday morning services about 6 times a year. Call Sarah Stoel 881-9384 if interested. Save this date, Sept. 25, for a repertoire and skill-building workshop. 13. A huge thank you to all who worked so hard to make Walk thru the Bible seminar a success. God honored our prayers! 73 adults & youth and 8 children gained valuable knowledge about the Old Testament and one person received Christ. Praise God!
