Times & Worship Style
What is the worship time & style?
We have two worship services, each different in style.
9 a.m. worship service: A “traditional” style which includes liturgical traditions such as: responsive call to worship and reading, call to confession, assurance of pardon and music using hymns and sometimes being led by the choir and/or bell choir.
11 a.m. worship service: A “contemporary” with praise music and being led by our worship team with guitars, drums, keyboard and woodwinds.
5th Sunday service: When there is a fifth Sunday in a month-- this year, March, June, September and December, we have a combined single worship service at 10 a.m. that combines elements of both traditional and contemporary.
What happens in a worship service?
In each service we follow these practices:
Passing of God’s peace
Using music and voices to praise God through singing
Engaging in times of prayer, both silent and spoken
Reading of God’s Word
Biblically based preaching
Offering of tithes and gifts
Monthly practice of communion
